"Historically, the New York State Police test once every four years. A candidate must be 20 years old and a U.S. Citizen to take our exam. The Processing Weekend is the second step in our hiring process. This may not take place right away. The New York State Police will be conducting the second Military Supplemental Entrance Exam on January 24, 2015 at the state police academy in Albany, NY. Those military personnel who had signed up by 09/08/13 to take the initial entrance exam but were unable to do so are eligible to participate in this exam.
