"I am Tpr. Bullis and I have served 24 years as a New York State Trooper. We are a reflection of society, so the description of our duties adjust with the different communities we serve. Opportunities and experiences are around every corner. That's what I like about our job. The knowledge you gain through the experiences you encounter is unmeasurable. We are an equal employment opportunity employer who values diversity as one of it's strongest assets. I recommend our job to anyone who wants to stay active and likes to strive for excellence. Come make a difference!"
"Historically, the New York State Police test once every four years. A candidate must be 20 years old and a U.S. Citizen to take our exam. The Processing Weekend is the second step in our hiring process. This may not take place right away. When it does, the candidate will have to meet the college requirements listed on the home page of NYTrooper.com. Consider us in the future."
Attention Military Candidates
When the application period opens and the test dates are established, apply on-line whether you are able to attend or not due to your military orders. In doing so, you make yourself eligible for the Military Supplemental Exam which is given at the Academy within two years of the original filing deadline. Dates and times to be determined.
