"Historically, the New York State Police test once every four years. A candidate must be 20 years old and a U.S. Citizen to take our exam. The Processing Weekend is the second step in our hiring process. This may not take place right away. When it does, the candidate will have to meet the college requirements listed on the home page of NYTrooper.com. Consider us in the future."
