New York State Police New Troop G Headquarters Plans Move Forward
(Albany, NY - March 13, 2009) - Plans to build a new Troop G Headquarters for the New York State Police continue to move forward. As a result of major deficiencies and the outdated state of the current facility built in Loudonville in 1957, the State Police initiated relocation plans in January of 2003. "Hi, my name is Tpr. Bullis and I have served 17 years as a New York State Trooper. But it feels more like my 7th year. There are so many things to do as a Trooper it makes the time fly by. We are a reflection of society, so the description of our job adjusts with the changes in society. My duties have taken me from a murder investigation in the Adirondack Mountains to a call to duty at Ground Zero and the World Trade Center disaster. From advance training at the State Police Academy in Albany to the New York State Fair in Syracuse. Opportunities and experiences are around every corner. That's what I like about our job. The knowledge you gain through the experiences you encounter is unmeasurable. I would recommend our job to anyone who likes to stay active and wants to be associated with an organization that strives for excellence."
